Abstract

The present investigation is linked to the Christmas activities of the Corian colonial era of the 18th century, where celebrations, ecclesiastical rites, traditions and parties stand out. The holiday festivities begin at the end of November and culminate in the first weeks of January, all accompanied by music, dances, processions, military parades, nativity scenes, fireworks, among others. Each event was announced with the ringing of bells and each Christmas activity was organized by families and members of the Corian brotherhood where color, lights, songs, and dances were perceived.
