The demographic transition facing Mexico represents a growing challenge for the healthcare system. In this context, frailty syndrome becomes significant due to its impact on the quality of life of older adults, increasing the risk of dependency, hospitalization, and mortality. Objective: The objective of this study was to analyze the perceptions and knowledge of eighth-semester nursing students (2025) regarding geriatric frailty syndrome. Methodology: A qualitative approach with a narrative design was employed, following the proposal of Núñez (1992), through semi-structured interviews and focus groups. The sampling method was non-probabilistic, using convenience sampling and the snowball technique, including students with prior experience in elderly care. Results: Negative stereotypes and confusion regarding the differential diagnosis between aging and frailty syndrome were identified. Conclusions: Educational needs, various intervention strategies, and resources were recognized to strengthen geriatric training in nursing practice.
